Ecosystem thinking for circular fashion

DataScouts supports the S4Fashion project as an expert in ecosystem thinking and community building.

The S4Fashion platform is provided and maintained by DataScouts. The focus is on community building and stakeholder engagement, with a goal to collaboration and knowledge sharing.

S4Fahion program

S4Fashion is a European Accelerator for Circular & Sustainable fashion, co-funded by COSME, European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency. The objective of the project is to introduce new sustainable and circular economy solutions for the fashion industry via cocreation and knowledge building with designers, start-ups, scale-ups and businesses identified as SMEs.

In November 2021, the S4Fashion open call ended and over 150 transnational teams of at least two partners had applied with a project proposal. Of these, 38 were preselected and invited to the sandpit day in Athens to present their projects, receive feedback and mentorship from the jury and connect with other like-minded people.

The team

The event was hosted by the European Creatives Hubs Network (ECHN) in the Bios venue in Athens, supported by the other consortium members which include Envolve Entrepreneurship Greece, DataScouts, IED REC from Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and ZIPHOUSE of the Technical University of Moldova.

The participants were also welcomed by the jury members, of whom they received feedback about their projects and mentorship for the future. We were honored to meet:

Coordinating the S4FASHION project is an honour. This project, although not completed yet, has already shown its potential for ne knowledge, approaches and innovation. Community buidling by DataScouts

As a proud consortium partner of S4Fashion, DataScouts took on the responsibility of communicating about, preparing and managing the event.

The S4Fashion platform, provided by DataScouts, supported these activities by acting as a community tool for all the fashion and sustainability enthusiasts. Ecosystems and ecosystem thinking allow for these small brands and SME’s to collaborate, share knowledge and skill and innovate together to change the future of the fashion industry.
