Strategy Consultant in Food & Retail

Our consulting services revolve around Ecosystem Intelligence. We help our clients become better prepared for whatever the future holds by addressing uncertainties in a complex multi-stakeholder environment. We encourage clients to systematically collect and integrate real-time information about companies, trends, and events in their business processes. Our cloud-based Ecosystem Intelligence platform provides an AI-enabled workflow to collect, aggregate, and update market and company information.

As an experienced Strategy Consultant & Ecosystem Analyst, you will be an immediate contributor to the strategic projects of our clients, aiming to stay relevant in a world that is changing at a rapid pace. You will interact with Innovation Managers, Ecosystem & Community Managers, Strategic Marketeers, and Business Developers who are primarily active in the Food and Retail industry.

Combining an analytical mindset with a proven methodology to map and monitor ecosystems, you serve senior executives with real-time market and competitive insights applying a proven methodology to map stakeholders, monitor ecosystems, identify business opportunities and assess scenarios of the future.

  • Scenario Planning and Blind Spot Analysis

Tasks.

  • Develop new strategic consultancy approaches embracing ecosystem thinking, scenario building and serious gaming
  • Curiosity about new approaches towards strategic consultancy (ecosystems, signals, etc.)
  • Conduct market research, in-depth market scans, and network analysis
  • Build and deliver instant insights and enable continuous market monitoring
  • Build and maintain a trust-based relationship with clients
  • Develop best practices for companies to leverage DataScouts to solve strategic questions
  • Advocate client needs/issues to product & engineering team to improve DataScouts and contribute to an exceptional product
  • Support and train Junior Ecosystem Analysts on client projects
  • Contribute to the overall operational excellence of consulting team together with Consulting Lead

Profile.

We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything, but you should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic consulting, market research, innovation management or similarly analytical roles, ideally in topics touching trend analysis, early warning signals, ecosystem analysis, scenario planning, with preferred sectoral experience in Food and/or Retail.
  • The ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • A proven track record in successfully leading customer projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to think critically, to ask better questions, and to listen carefully
  • The habit to take initiative and solving problems
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Curious and eager to continuously learn new thing
